Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived with twelve other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother was a great way to get away from life's harsh reality. life. Prior to learning how to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own music. After getting her first guitar at the age 8, she started to play at radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the same year, she recorded her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Although she became an established local celebrity while at high school, her goals were greater. The singer moved to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. The first charting record she had on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on the show he had syndicated to television. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after contracting to RCA Records. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 as her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the number. 1 spot after they broke up. #1 for the first time in 1974.
