Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. A half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father was Argentine and Scottish English descent. Her mother is Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria region in London. According to Taylor-Joy, this move was traumatic and she refused to master English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the moved from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At the age of 16, she dropped out of school in order to make a career of acting. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her the opportunity to model.
